When kronos and rhea had kids why weren't they titans instead of gods?

The Titans were the gods of the Pelasgians, the Gods were the Gods of the Greeks. In the 8th century BC, Hesiod's Theogony put together a family tree of all the gods and titans. It's a little more complicated than one came from the other. There were several generations of gods and monsters in the Theogony.
