Should voters be subject to minimum intelligence requirements?

They don't make our elected officials take a test so why should the voters? If they had, maybe we wouldn't be in the mess we are in, on all levels. We will always have people vote who have no idea on the issues or they vote one way because their parents did. Or they vote because of one issue.Our system will only get better if the citizens are willing to educate themselves without another law to make them do it.
