Training my bird to stay out of my hair?
My little parrotlet loves being in my hair. However I have some serious qualms about letting her chillax up there. Firstly, I am opposed to adopting bird poop as my personal fashion statement. In addition to that, I'm worried about her ingesting shampoos/hair products residues in my hair. On the advice of a yahoo answerer, I've been trying to keep her out of my hair, but nothing seems to be working. I've covered the hair up, and she simply dug a hole in my tightly tied bandana and nessled up to me. I've scolded her and bribed but nothing can keep her out of my hair. My hair is now more tempting than her favorite treats because she knows she not allowed up there. Suggestions on how to train her away from my head? As a novice bird owner, I'm a bit stumped. All she can do at the moment is 'step up'. I want her to be trained so that I can get my hair dyed in a few weeks. (Ok, so I'm shallow. To be fair, I won't go do it if she still remains untrained.) Any ideas?
