Grooming my horse for western showmanship.... Her Mane?

I am showing my horse tomorrow at a slightly high cl show, I clipped her legs a few weeks ago as well as her face. early tomorrow I will reclip her nose. and eyes and apply baby oil, she will also have hoof black on she has too long of a mane though and I really dont want to cut it, i use her for reining so will they take points off? should i tell the judge that I use her for reining. i have never been in this situation before because I always had western pleasure horses that had there manes banded, what would be the most proper thing? do I still band it even though its longer?
